Hair Transplantation

Hair transplantation surgery has improved remarkably in the past decade and reassuringly the days of "plugs and corn rows" are gone. Instead, Dr. Rosenberg creates natural appearing hairlines with a technique called follicular unit transplantation. Most impressive is how well this approach replicates the natural growth pattern of hair.

Candidates for follicular unit transplant surgery are those individuals with hair loss that have sufficient donor hair to transplant to the balding area. In the past, many balding patients were not suitable candidates for hair transplant surgery but follicular unit transplantation allows many more men and women to undergo successful hair restoration.

Hair loss is a lifelong process. Most men will develop male pattern baldness by age 45 and many women experience female pattern baldness by the age of 50. Once it starts, hair loss tends to progress. Modern techniques, however, allow Dr. Rosenberg to transplant a large number of grafts in one session, greatly reducing the number of procedures needed to complete the process.

The procedure takes place in our state of the art office and requires only a small amount of local anesthesia. During the session patients can watch a movie, listen to music or read. Patients leave the same day without a bandage and resume normal activities in less than a week.

Eyebrow Hair Restoration

Few patients realize the eyebrows are a wonderful area for hair transplantation. Years ago the fashion trend of pencil thin eyebrows led many to over "pluck". Nowadays, healthy and natural appearing eyebrows are viewed as an important component of an attractive face. Eyebrow hair restoration takes place in our office during a two-hour session and requires little recovery time. Dr. Rosenberg uses individual hairs borrowed from the scalp to create a natural and rejuvenated eyebrow appearance.
